Very nice! Thanks.
yes that’s THICK hair. 6mm hair omg.
Katie Cotton?
At 2.32 > “Vinyl is 3mm thick, that’s half the thickness of human hair” …So, we should be looking like Porcupines!?!
P
@onlinehoster okay let me get thru the weekend and i will be back. thanks.
Dan you are the man
@jazznjava I’m interested how you’d do it differently. Please let us know
nice demo…and katie cotton…what a great name hehe
@GlassyARTmuse
Where do you purchase your vinyl & transfer tape?
@makeupbliss , sure can do it on GIMP (free) or Photoshop and have it traced with SCAL – I use my Cricut for sandblasting images and fusing
You can get transfer tape in rolls , same place you buy the Vinyl – Oracal -It’s much cheaper as well
can u make your own designs?? example: if draw a picture can that be cut on the cricut??
Where do you get the roll of Transfer Tape?
OMG EVRY1!!! I Just found the COOLEST ZEBRA VINYL for cricut cutters. Just go to ebay and search cricut zebra vinyl. u gotta check it out its awesome. I cant find nething like it newhere.
will this be in arlington this year???? please tell me yes:)
Yea, excellent video-except for the incorrect explanation of the material thickness (3 millimeters?!), improper technique (applying transfer tape, removing the backing sheet and applying the vinyl), wrong terminology (wax paper) and incorrect information (60 degree blade for cheap cal vinyl?!, just scratch the surface, double faced transfer tape) it’s great!!!
i was there it was amzing
Thank you for this video. The settings of pressure medium and blade 4 didn’t work for my non-Cricut vinyl but your comments helped me fine tune my system. “it should cut like butter so the blade will just barely cut through the vinyl and leave the paper. I ended up making a single cut repeatedly until the blade cut through the vinyl like butter instead of a jagged edge. That blade depth was 1.5 on my deep cut blade. Hope this helps someone out there!
I so agree wit you Jazznjava!
A lot of us are looking for simplicity first… just getting started!
Hi Jazznjava – you make compelling points, no doubt! He is a reseller though and a popular one at that! Some people have never seen Design Studio software in action so part of the video lets them observe that….just a demo of all the stuff at once! As you stated, definitely NOT needed to cut vinyl. Thanks for watching!
Hmm, This is an interesting video. In it the demonstrator uses every toy cricut sells, and quite frankly he is showing about $600 more stuff than one needs to make that simple cut. It is a poor representation of how simple, cheap and efficient cricut can be.
Very nice!!!! thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks for the great video!
When can I purchase transfer tape on a big role like the one you used?
Dan,
EXCELLENT Video. I am ready to try my vinyl. Great instruction and great reasoning at the end.
It is so good to have a CLEAR step by step instructional video that is easy to relate to and so easy to understand.
Jann
i feel sick for some reason
So annoying
apparently by their reaction…size does matter…big smiles..
Nice video, Ladies.
cool my freind has 1
how did you get the mickey mouse
I want to know how to change the page size to something other thant 12X12 or 12X24. like 4X6 or 8X11
It has a quick start guide that says each step. You can do your own images. Search for SCAL demos on youtube.
Got one for Christmas!
Just bought one yesterday can’t wait to get it and start having fun with it.
this shit is fucking retarded, fat bitch needs to kill herself, and the crack whore needs to get laid
Cheese-a-rama
runs on an outlet haha
i want one that runs on fireballs
We have this at our school..and I love it, its easy to use, runs on an outlet, and is great for projects!! =)
I know this is kind of dumb to ask does the Cricut run on batteries or does it run on an outlet. I am new to this kind of stuf so I don’t know.
I have one of the very first cricuts that was ever made. My uncle is the inventor so he gave us one. I’m not lying. I love this machine, i use it for school projects all the time.
i wish you would show how to use it, how to load it. i see all the features, but how do you feed the images? a disc? can you load your own images?
it sounds like they have a lisp
lol pause at 0:11
Can you program this to do what you need it to do? Like your own design and not one that comes with it.
few features here and there, but the biggest one is probably the size– cricut create [smaller one] can cut 12×6 sheets
whereas the cricut expressions can do up to 12×24″.
check out hte SCAL/sure Cuts a lot software; wont haveot buy cartridges ever again!
what kind of machines are there out there? (can you name a few?)
You can buy a professional machine for the same price. (perhaps cheaper)
If this device could read .dwg files, I could use it to build architectural models.
