My passion for map-making has naturally led to my desire to purchase an electronic personal cutting. In reading various magazines cardmaking, I noticed there were a few personal electronic cutting system to choose, but the choice was pretty obvious to me.

After watching the informercial Cricut ([..] I was intrigued. The system is made by Provocraft Cricut ([...]). I did research on Ebay and craigslist ([...] ([. ..]) hoping to find a bargain. At the time, the resale price at these sites was so close to the price offered to Wal-Mart ([...], didnft meaning to try it to buy when I could have used a new and can easily return it if there was a problem. I also liked that WalMart and Michaels ([...] have other products such as Provocraft cartridges, mats, pens and a toolbox. He was also a wide variety of cartridges I could choose between two WalMart, Michaels and Ebay. Each cartridge contains a unique set of images or fonts. Some cartridges following: Animal Kingdom (Animal) Mickey Mouse (Disney) Christmas Cheer (seasonal), and more. Only once did I pay a ridiculous sum for a cartridge ($ 99 for paper dolls). In Then it was very new, very popular and difficult to obtain. However, in general, I do buy cartridges when they are available for sale. Michaels often has a sale where the cartridges are only $ 35 – 40 $. If I take a listing Michaels at Wal-Mart, a cashier can do a price match. WalMart is great about price matching Cricut cartridges, DVDs, etc

There 3 versions of the Cricut cutting system:

    1. Cricut (original)

    2. Cricut Expressions

    3. Cricut Create (sold exclusively at Michaels)

I bought the first model and loved it immediately. A few months later, I then sold my system on craigslist and ordered its largest system, the Cricut Expressions WalMart. This model is able to cut larger sizes to 12 x 24 scrapbook sheet of standard size is 12 “x 12″. The third model, the Cricut Create, is an improvement over the first model of small and sold exclusively at Michaels.

Other major features of this cutting system is the ability to shoot. You can replace the blade with Cricut pens to draw instead of cut, and images. You can also buy vinyl adhesive sheets Cricut to cut out images to decorate inside your home. There is also the possibility of connect your Cricut machine to your computer via a USB cable. You can then use the Cricut Design Studio software to prearrange the layout of your images before cutting. The Cricut Design Studio also lets you view images of all the cartridges Cricut, but you can not cut with them, unless you own the cartridge. Another option is to use a third-party software, such as cuts sure a lot of cutting your existing policies or create your own images to cut. This product is by boat and Edge is available on ebay or by clicking this link: [...]

This boring machine is very versatile and widely available by the giants distribution. I highly recommend purchasing this machine. For more information on careers, see my blog at [...]

The machine itself is really great, and pleased to have. It comes in handy rally for making all kinds of things. The disadvantage is that they claim you save money by not having to buy all the pieces you die bulky handy for scrapbooking, the part I find true about that is Part bulky. Instead of having one dies, there are several models on each cartridge. But insofar as saving money, I really do not see it.
The disadvantage is that you have to buy their cartridges, which are not very cheap, especially from you No. ‘use some of them from time to time. Before I bought this machine I had a plotter, I bought this product to get rid of the troublesome tracer. You can guess what is still taking up space in my craft room, yes it is the tracer.
I think this product would be better if you managed to hang on to your computer, you can but be able to use it to access a website with drawings on it, perhaps on a subscription basis or for a purchase for each design that they want to use it as need a kind of embroidery etc.. Instead, for the time you have to buy cartridges every time you want to do something new.
I cut lots of fabric for quilting with this machine. The part that I really like. I can choose a design, and everyone comes out the same as the last, so I can fuse it with a block and stitch around it to keep it on my quilt top. I also use this machine to make tags. I’m in a lot of vintage quilts from the sale of goods, some come with a story and I am able to print the story and cut a label to attach with a safety pin to the quilt so that my clients know what they are buying. I also integrate this with some of my graphic work. I can cut out shapes and vinyl to add to projects with my artwork to help make things a little more personal and different.
I love this machine, but the impression they need to work a bit more about pricing and designs.

This is absolutely my favorite machine.

“I use my daily speech. My kids love the little things have done for them nice words and paper dolls, to pirate ships and castles. (Large and Small)
I love using all my scrapbook pages. From Disney to different fonts. Everything is there.

The qualms I have with this machine are fairly minor. The mats are hard to find, especially around Christmas.
Carpet stickyness lose it, that keeps him up for the cup. As he loses his stickyness, the machine is sometimes “pick up” the article you cut and eventually destroy it.
You can have the carpet in one way, depending on its direction, eventually by cutting a lot on an area of your carpet. Stickyness losing the one hand, faster than the other.
You can edit the location of where it begins, making it easier to fill a whole page with litle waste .

The little inconveniences do not take away from this wonderful machine well. A little expensive, but worth it to save time, versatility and utility.

This machine is incredible. I like my expression.

    CONS:
Do not get me wrong. . . I really love my Cricut Expression, but there are times when I think it is overwhelming and enjoy using my Cuttlebug more (which I never missed it!) With the Cricut Expression machine, I made a ton of trial and error. I use all different types of paper (cardstock, construction paper, particle board, etc.), and each require different blades and pressure. It is frustrating to have to do more and more until you find the right setting. I lost a bit of paper because of this. I still have yet to master cutting through the thickness of particle board that I have, even with the blade cutting deep. I think I’m going to leave and just buy thinner stuff.

    FOR:
love what I do not have to buy their Cricut Cartridges – I can use the software I downloaded and connect to my computer. This gives me an infinite amount of different fonts and designs. Even if a computer is not necessary to use the machine (if you use their cartridges), I find it much easier and cheaper to use the software! The possibilities are truly endless with this machine. I made some pretty complex designs that I would not have done elsewhere. I can make my photos and fonts as large or as small as I want and I love it! I do not think the machine is easy to use but it takes time to learn.

If you mainly use the Cricut Expressions machine for fonts, I would not recommend it. However, if you’re really looking for unique designs and you have a little patience, the Cricut expressions may well be what you’re looking for!

After seeing the informercial for the Cricut Expression, I was delighted with the possibilities. As a teacher and craftsman, I already have ideas for my many uses for this machine – in my class projects and my home number. When I received as a Christmas gift, I could not wait to start. In one hour, my thoughts on the machine were completely soured. I started by following the easy installation instructions, loading my piece of cardstock, and typing the message. I hit the button CUT, and looked somewhat mechanical blade to get to work. Then I hit the button unloading paper. When I slipped the red carpet plastic, I carefully inspected the cut. It was beautiful. I peeled the paper off the sticky surface to see that the blade does not cut completely through the cardboard. I have that pressure was put to the max, and I tried again. Same result. I then took a simple piece of paper flip, and tried the same function. It worked. Peel the paper off the mat was almost impossible. I followed the rocking motion that the company encourages, and peeling most papers, but there was any residue left on the carpet. A bit like when you try your best to peel off a price tag of an element, and some of them still with the sticky glue here and there. What a mess! I am very disappointed with the performance of this machine, and I’ll return as soon as possible! Cardboard steady weight is supposed to be a breeze for this thing. . . . especially with a brand new blade and cutting mat. To separate myself from my “cut” letters of cardstock, I would have to carefully cut around each letter with a pair of scissors. Is not the point of this machine to remove the scissors? I am very sad to announce that this machine is the thumbs down from me. I had such high hopes for it: (
